The $20 is a refundable reservation deposit, not a purchase. It holds a place in our first production batch and locks in the pre-sale price. Nothing ships when you pay it.
This is a pre-order for a product still in development. We are collecting reservations to decide whether to manufacture, and shipping is not guaranteed.
We will manufacture only if at least 500 units are reserved. If we have not reached 500 reservations by 31 December 2026, we will cancel the pre-order and refund every deposit automatically. We will email every reserver either way.
Our target for the first units is spring 2027. This is an estimate for a product that is still in development, not a guaranteed date. If the target moves, we will email you the new estimate, and you may cancel for a full refund at that point.
You can cancel at any time before the balance is due — email chris@anvol.dev or reply to any of our emails — and we refund the deposit in full. No reason needed.
If your unit arrives damaged, faulty, or not as described, email us within 30 days of delivery. We will send a replacement or refund everything you paid — deposit, balance and shipping — and we cover the return postage. We will publish the full warranty before any unit ships and before you pay the balance.
If a charge looks wrong, or you are unhappy with anything, email chris@anvol.dev before contacting your bank. We answer within two business days and would rather fix it directly than through a dispute.
Guinea Guard is a monitoring aid. It flags changes in your animal's movement, stillness, eating and breathing sounds and shows you the evidence. It is not a veterinary or medical device and does not diagnose anything. Decisions about your animal's health belong to you and your vet. Do not delay seeking veterinary care because a device did or didn't flag something.
Your reservation is with Anvol, Inc., a Delaware corporation based in San Francisco, California, USA — the seller of record. Guinea Guard is an Anvol product, designed and built with FreakStudio, our hardware team in Taiyuan, China. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number.

Reply to any email with "unsubscribe", or email chris@anvol.dev, and we stop writing, or ask us to delete your details and we will — unless you have an open reservation we still need to fulfil or refund.
Video analysis runs on the device. We will publish the full device privacy policy — what leaves your home, what is stored and for how long — before any unit ships, and before you pay the balance.
